Copper Top Tavern - Camillus: Your Destination for New American Cuisine

My husband and I wanted a new eating spot and a friend suggested this place. It’s very family friendly and we got seated within 10-20 min (you can check online if there’s ppl or not). We have been here twice and have enjoyed both times. The waiters are very friendly and check in on you! The food portions are big and filling. Our favorite appetizer are the wings because it’s so flavorful and have wanting you for more. My husband got a burger and he definitely enjoyed it. We’ll come back again another time because the food definitely fills us up and satisfy us. If you’re in the area, definitely recommend trying it (:

It was very loud when we were there for a retirement party but the server was great and responsive. The food was great and the other staff were nice.

My fish sandwich was right on point girlfriend ordered the meatloaf dinner said it was delicious and the portio was enough to bring some home and the service was great no complaints from me

Perfect stop before reaching Rochester. We were hungry and although there was a bit of a wait we’re served fast and very attentively. We tried the highly-recommended avocado rolls and they did not disappoint. You must try them!

Copper Top never disappoints for martinis and apps or a meal. Pomegranate martini is my go to, though I did try to order the winter Christmas martini but was told they were out of ingredients. Friendly, attentive bar service. Avocado egg rolls for our app though we considered late night menu that offers some discounted appetizers. Avocado egg rolls for the win. Though I thought the avocado was a bit chunky this batch, I prefer my egg rolls ingredients to be more blended. Large bar area with many televisions for games and sport events. Back dining room has fireplace, though I prefer the bar ambiance. Hopefully they decorate for the holidays. I love the vast choices of the menu. Copper Top catered the Christmas Shoppes VIP event we came from. Ziti, Chicken Crispers, French Onion Fondue, and meatballs. Another festive visit, will be back for some holiday cheer!

Just your average tavern with the typical burger, fries, salads, and appetizers. Although average, not a bad place for quick service, a nice drink at the bar, or a lively place to watch the game. Had a medium steakhouse burger with truffle fries. The fries were decent, they were shoestring style and tasty but the fries soaked up most of the oil it was fried in so they were especially greasy. The burger was average, nothing special. But cooked just how we asked. 4/5 due to there being better taverns/pub like food out there. This one was just run of the mill - but that really isn’t something negative. Just can’t give the perfect 5 due to seeing and having more unique and better crafted menus from similar businesses.

What I like with this place is there egg rolls. There's something about it that makes me keep on coming back for more. Their noodles are freshly cooked. The appetizers are amazing.

Over the years, this has proven to be one of our favorite casual restaurants. Try the pasta-chip nachos as an appetizer for two to four people. Their kitchen makes one of our favorite pizzas in Syracuse, the Sicilian. We ask that it be garnished with chopped basil instead of parsley, and request a small side of marinara to dip the crust The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. UPDATE-1: They recently purchased and renovated the building next door, so they can now host large private parties. UPDATE-2: We were very sorry to learn that CopperTop has discontinued their Sicilian pizza. We thought it was one of the best pizzas available in Syracuse and have enjoyed it on a number of occasions. Instead, I ordered the flat iron steak with fries in place of the mashed potatoes. The fries, mushrooms, onion rings, and in-house-made steak sauce we're very good, but the mixed vegetables were overcooked and the steak was so fatty it was not enjoyable. My wife was very pleased with the vegetable sandwich she ordered with steamed broccoli as a side. I'm lowering my rating of the restaurant from 5 stars to 4 stars. UPDATE-3: I ordered a lunch special that included an individual-size pepperoni pizza and a side salad. It was a great meal for a very good price. My wife ordered the Thai noodles with chicken. The spicy peanut sauce was excellent and the chicken was tender. The match-stick carrots and chopped peanuts added a nice crunch as a counterpoint to the soft noodles. UPDATE-4: This time, I had the lunch-special pepperoni pizza with soup. For small up charge, you can get French onion soup and it's well worth it. UPDATE-5: Tried a second noodle dish on their menu, bang bang chicken. Not as flavorful as the Thai noodles with chicken, but quite good. UPDATE-6: Tried the sausage bread appetizer with marinara sauce to dip. Very good, and quite a generous serving. Was a bit disappointed with my stir fried chicken teriyaki. The sauce was a little too sweet, so I asked for some soy sauce to increase the salt and umami. It helped, but I wouldn't order this again. UPDATE-7: Tried two new things on this visit. Both the chicken tenders and beignets were delicious. Moved my rating back up to 5 stars. UPDATE-8: The fish and chips are highly recommended. UPDATE-9: Had the dinner-sized fish and chips. Excellent. UPDATE-9: Tried the southwestern chicken flatbread. It was good, but I wouldn't order it again. UPDATE-10: The muffuletta sandwich is terrific.
